Beyond the Dataset.

Watchlist Wizard is more than a movie site. It's a high-performance software service built to solve "Choice Paralysis" through expert AI-curation.

Our Mission

In an era of endless scrolling and algorithmic noise, finding something to watch has become a chore. We believe in Information Gain—providing you with unique perspectives, technical insights, and mood-based discovery that traditional databases miss.

Rezoan Ferdose — Developer and Curator at Watchlist Wizard

The Solo Architect

Meet Rezoan Ferdose

As a Computer Science & Engineering graduate with over eight years of software development experience, I built every single line of Watchlist Wizard from scratch — driven by a very specific frustration I could not find a solution to anywhere else.

The problem is one most streaming subscribers will recognize immediately: choice paralysis. You sit down to watch something, open Netflix, scroll for twenty minutes, and then decide you are not in the mood to decide. You end up watching nothing, or rewatching something you have already seen. Existing solutions — algorithmic recommendations, editorial top-10 lists, Letterboxd ratings — all solve a slightly different problem than the one you are actually having.

What I wanted was something that understood the mood I was in, not just the genres I had watched before. Something I could tell "I want something funny but not stupid, under 2 hours, available on a service I actually pay for" — and get a real answer. Watchlist Wizard is my answer to that problem, built over years of iteration alongside my professional development work.

The editorial philosophy here is simple: every curated list has a point of view. We do not just pull TMDB's top-rated titles and call it curation. We write about why specific films belong together, what they share beneath the surface, and what kind of viewer will connect with them. The goal is the kind of recommendation a knowledgeable friend would give you — specific, honest, and actually helpful.

I update this platform continuously based on what I personally want when I am looking for something to watch. If there is a feature you would find useful, or a list you would like to see, I am genuinely open to hearing from you.
