We watch the films we review. We research the context behind rankings. We verify streaming availability before publishing recommendations.

Our content creation process begins with identifying topics our audience genuinely cares about: which films are worth watching this month, which classics hold up on rewatching, and what new releases deliver on their promise. From there, each article goes through a structured writing and editing pipeline before publication.

All written content follows a multi-step review process:

1. Research & Viewing — Primary source material (the film/show itself) is watched and evaluated.
2. Drafting — The initial article is written with a clear editorial angle and supported by specific examples from the work.
3. Fact-Checking — Release dates, cast details, streaming availability, and production credits are verified against authoritative sources (TMDB, IMDb, official press releases).
4. Editorial Review — Content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, tone consistency, and editorial value before publication.
5. Publication & Monitoring — Published content is periodically reviewed and updated as relevant information changes (e.g., streaming platforms adding or removing titles).

Watchlist Wizard may use AI tools as part of our editorial workflow. Specifically:

• AI may be used for drafting assistance — generating initial outlines or article structures that are then substantially rewritten, fact-checked, and edited by human editors.
• AI is never used to generate final published content without human editorial review and significant modification.
• All opinions expressed in reviews are editorial positions shaped by actual viewing experience and critical analysis — not machine-generated sentiment.
• We do not use AI to mass-produce thin or duplicate content.

This approach aligns with Google's guidance on AI-generated content: we prioritize helpfulness, originality, and editorial integrity regardless of whether AI tools assist in the writing process.

We verify key claims before publication using authoritative and publicly available data sources:

• TMDB (The Movie Database) — Cast, crew, release dates, and poster images.
• JustWatch / TMDB Watch Providers — Real-time streaming availability by region.
• IMDb — Runtime, ratings, and production credits.
• Official studio press releases — For news coverage and upcoming release information.

Rankings, review scores, and editorial recommendations on Watchlist Wizard are never influenced by paid placement or sponsorship. Our editorial positions are independent. If we ever introduce sponsored content or affiliate relationships, they will be clearly disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines.

We take accuracy seriously. When we make a factual error in published content:

• We correct it promptly with a visible note at the bottom of the article.
• We do not silently delete or substantially alter published editorial positions.
